An environmental and social commitment

What a Trip ! commited

CARRY OUR VALUES HIGH!

The human adventure

What A Trip festival! it is above all a human adventure built on a foundation of values that guides each of the choices of the organizing committee.

Sharing, respect for others, respect for our environment are all values that make up the DNA of WAT.

charter

The festival’s CSR programme

A duty of responsibility

Since its creation, the festival is governed by strong values carried high by the members of its association: respect for others, differences, the environment, gender equality, solidarity, exemplarity, commitment. These are all values that led us to publish our CSR charter, which applies to all the festival’s stakeholders: staff, volunteers, partners, exhibitors, directors, photographers, jury members, etc.

A course of action that led us to exclude plastic from the festival or to return 1% of our turnover to 1% for the planet.

environmental commitment

everyone’s responsibility

Preserving our planet is everyone’s responsibility, acting, alerting and raising public awareness of this cause is the responsibility of all event organizers. What A Trip ! Heyme festival has made this choice since its creation and every year pushes its commitment a little further, within the limits of its possibilities.

1% for the planet logo

1% for the planet member

The association has been a member of the 1% for the planet since 2018 and as such donates 1% of its revenues related to ticketing to associations working for the preservation of the environment. This citizen and partisan act is, although symbolic, dear to the festival team.

Logo Blue Zone

What A Trip! is committed to zero plastic!

Drastic on Plastic is a device that aims to accompany the French festivals towards the reduction and elimination of disposable plastic in the production of their event, this in a collective approach and the sharing of practices at the national level.

Purpose: Waste recovery

Waste diversion is a festival priority. This is why we have joined forces with the Compostons association, whose mission is to recover organic waste from the festival by: setting up harvest points, forming the “Green team” on the festival, collecting bio-waste to be used in their collaborative urban farm.

Logo Blue Zone

The Blue Zone: preservation of the oceans

Raising public awareness of the respect of our planet through a dedicated space installed on the festival, on which we invite associations of environmental protection to come and present their actions to the public, but also and above all to raise public awareness. Climate fresco, sorting workshops, meetings, games, conferences and other exchange times are all opportunities to raise public awareness.

Logo Zéro plastic

Zero plastic on the festival village

Since its creation, the festival has made plastic its battle horse. In partnership with its exclusive environmental partner Océan Protection France, the WAT has removed plastic from its bar by making the choice to make water free, through fountains installed on the site.

Nothing is wasted with DelivRue

The festival collects the dishes unsold by the foodtrucks present in the village in order to give them to the homeless with Delivrue.

Operation Ecocup solidaire pour les femmes invisibles

Nothing is wasted with Donate the euro deposit of your Ecocup to the associationThe invisible women, on their stand near the bar.

For each cup donated to the association, the festival will give it a euro.

And all this would not be possible without our partners:

Social

SOCIETAL COMMITMENT

Together we go further

This is the credo that has motivated the festival team since its creation: to share with other associations, to interact with its environment in order to act in the collective interest. Supporting initiatives, giving access to culture to the greatest number of people are all subjects of action of our structure.

Pedagogy at the heart of action

To transmit the values of openness to the world to the new generations while sensitizing them to the importance of preserving the environment, this is the mission of our association. A mission that involves the implementation of free educational actions for nearly 600 schoolchildren, middle and high school students each year (screenings, teaching kit for teachers, visits to the Blue Zone du festival, etc.).

Opération consigne solidaire

Each year, an association is invited and supported on the festival to hold a stand and present its actions. On this occasion, the public having taken a drink at the bar (and therefore a returnable glass) will have the opportunity to donate the euro deposit to the association by returning its returnable glass. The festival will count the number of glasses collected and will donate the amount of the bonds to the association.

This year, an association whose actions are important to the organizers of the festival is invited:

Un festival au coeur de la vie associative de Montpellier

Because together we go further, the festival partners with many associations to allow them to present their actions and to raise public awareness. What A Trip ! Heyme festival aims to be a crossroads of initiatives and values while helping structures that need it by providing them with material or human support whenever possible.
